Part Seven

“Well I don’t think I’m ready for children yet, but maybe I’ll take you up on that offer in a few years.” She was blushing really bad. Her face was so red. Us three were just laughing. I couldn’t help myself. I had done that to some else before I saw in the store. It’s all in good fun though.

“Thanks.” She was embarrassed.

“You know, I never thought I would meet so many girls over here. In Oklahoma a lot of the girls are all stuck up and well bitches. It’s nice to find cool people around here.” No I’m not trying to get into their pants, I just wanted to have a conversation.

“Well a lot of girls every where are stuck up. You just have to find the right ones.” Randi gave me one of those looks. It’s true though. I’m sure everywhere you go there are people who can’t get over themselves and what not. Not here though, I like the girls here.

“That’s true, but hey at least I got to find to good ones.”

“Hey what happened to your nose?” Sarah asked.

“I broke it.” I didn’t want to say Tay did because that wouldn’t look good for him.

“How?” Angie chimed in.

“Just goofing around with Tay. It was an accident.” Well it was half the truth. We all just sat there for a minute then. “Damn, it’s hot out here.” I wiped so sweat off my forehead. “I think its time to cool off.” I went towards the water. I only had my normal clothes on but that’s okay. I found a bucket so I put water in it and threw it at the girls.

“Zac!” They all stood up. It was hilarious, until they started chasing me. I had to try and run away from three pretty pissed, but happy girls. That didn’t work though. They caught me and made sure I was drenched. I fell in the water so I took them with me.

“I’m soaked!” Randi got up while the water dripped off of her. “They are my good clothes too! Oh Zac, you’re dead. I will get you back for this.” I glanced at my watch, which was waterproof, and it said 6:03.

“I gotta get going, I have to go out tonight.” I got up and rung out some of the water.

“Yeah and I need to change my clothes.” Randi rung out her hair.

“Alright, it was nice to meet ya.” Angie got up and well as Sarah.

“Yeah you too. Maybe I’ll see you around some time?”

“Yeah maybe.” Sarah smiled. I reached into my bag that I had, I like to carry one around sometimes, and pulled out one of our This Time Around CD’s. I have a few with all of our signatures on them. I handed one to Sarah and one to Angie.

“Here, take these.” Angie was just like yeah whatever but Sarah almost started to cry. Go figure. “I’ll see ya later.” Randi and I headed home. “Shall I walk you home?” I smiled at her.

“Sure.” I took her hand in mine. We walked to her house in the evening sun, we the 6:17 sun, to her house. “Well I guess I’ll see you later.”

“Would you like me to call you or something?”

“Yeah, that would be great.” She wrote her number down on my hand.

“Alright, then I’ll see you later.” I looked at her. She was just so pretty. I leaned in and we locked. Just a little kiss. We pulled away and she went into her house. I felt good. It’s time for me to have a girlfriend. I defiantly have to ask her out. I made my way back home.

“Hey I’m back.” I came into the house.

“Why are you wet?” Ike looked at me funny.

“Oh, I was playing in the ocean with the girls.”

“The girls?” Tay came out of his room.

“Yeah, I met some more at the beach when I was with Randi.” I thought about Angie again. Just maybe, nah.

“Well you’re just a babe magnet then aren’t ya?” Ike rolled his eyes. He needs a girl, I could tell.

“I’ll go get changed and then we can leave.”

“Alright.” So I found some decent clothes and pulled my hair back. I grabbed my music stuff, well our songs, so we could choose the right ones that we wanted on the CD.

“I’ll drive.” Tay grabbed the keys. We all go into the car and drove to a pizza place by where we used to rent our house. We like it there. The food and the service is really good.

“Alright I like the song Underneath. That defiantly has to be on this CD.” Tay pulled out the list of all our songs we have right now.

“Yeah I agree, that song might be our new single.” Ike looked at his list.

“What ever happened to that song you had out today? You know, the one call I Wish or something like that.” I was curious, could you blame me?

“That’s nothing.” Tay disregarded it.

“Oh come on, it has to mean something. It has to mean something special.” I looked him square in the eyes. He set his sheet down.

“It has to do with Jackie.” He looked down at the table. I knew it was about her.

“What happened between you two?” I had an idea of what happened because I know she doesn’t appreciate him for him. All she likes is his fame. I always hated her for that. No one deserves to be treated that way.

“Well you know how she came into the wrong window that one night. She came into my room and started to say shit about you.” He looked at me. “She said how much she hated you and you were a bastard and all this crap. I told her you weren’t and I said you better shut up because he is my brother. I don’t care if you like him or not, you will respect him and not be such a bitch to him. She got upset and left. So in the morning I left because I didn’t know what to do. She’s the only girl I ever went after for so many times.” He glanced at Ike and then at me. “You guys were right. She is a bitch and only likes me for the fame. I just didn’t want to admit it.” I could tell he wanted to cry, but he wouldn’t do it in public for the life of him. He just ate his pizza.

“I’m sorry. I only told you those things about her so you would see what she was trying to do. I didn’t do it to be mean.” I had a little bit of guilt, but not too much.

“Don’t worry about it. You were just being a good brother to me and you were right all along. Anyway, about this song…” We got off the subject of bitchy girlfriends and back to our CD. I think everything was going to be back to normal for awhile.
