Part Fourteen

So the party is today and we just got the supplies to set up.

“Tay, where are we putting all the food?” He was the brain of it all. He had it all planned out in his head so I just ask him where he wants everything.

“On those two tables over there and some over here.” So I took the trays people delivered and set them on the tables. The clubhouse we were having this in was pretty big so it would be fun. It was about 1 pm and everyone was coming at 4. We had a few hours to get ready. I still had to take a shower. She after I did all I wanted I went back to our house and took a nice long shower.

“Zac, you’ve been in there all day.” Ike was now pounding on the door. I haven’t been in that long.

“I’m almost done.” So I finished up and got out. I wrapped a nice clean towel around my waist and exited the bathroom. I glanced into the living room to see a familiar face. I almost dropped my towel. “Randi.” I wasn’t expecting to see her at all today. “What, why…” I didn’t know what to say.

“It’s okay Zac, you don’t have to say anything. I know I’ve been acting weird lately and I want you to know it’s not your fault. And for now I just want to forget about it. Let’s move on from it.” Who was I to argue that? I smiled and gave her a hug.

“Alright.” I grabbed my towel that was almost off and went into my room. I needed clothes on before I flash the world. Not that some people would mind. After I was decent I came back out and she was gone. “Where did Randi go?” I looked at Ike who was looking at himself in the mirror.

“Oh she left, she said she’d be at the party though.” Well at least she was coming. I would have a better time than expected. Boy was I wrong.

“Come on let’s party!” Tay was on the dance floor with what seemed like 3 million girls around him, including Michelle and Rachel. Randi brought them along for the fun.

“Hey Randi.” I came up behind her and put my arms around her. She turned around and gave me a little kiss. We went and sat down. Ike was over with a band that was setting up. He met them in the studio one day and became friends with them. He offered for them to play at our little get together so they are. Their name is The Fifty. I’ve heard them before, and I like them. So while they got ready to play we had some Cd’s going on our Cd player. “What’s wrong?” I could tell she wasn’t okay with something.

“Nothing hun. Let’s dance, I’m in the mood.” We went over by Tay and got our groove on. Michelle came up behind me and was getting down with her bad self. I was quite impressed and started dancing with her. Rachel came by me too. They were really good dancers so I let them have fun. Randi went over to Tay and danced by him. For some reason a slow song came on and everyone paired up. I was going over to Randi but she was asking Tay to dance. I stood there for a second, in somewhat of a shock. I don’t know why I took that so personally but I did. I turned around and saw Rachel and Michelle already dancing with some guys. I didn’t want to sit out and look like a loser so I saw Angie and asked her.

“Having fun so far?” I looked into her eyes. She looked up into mine and smiled.

“Well of course, but that’s only because I’m dancing with you.” She smirked. I just laughed. She put her head down on shoulder and we danced to the song. I just couldn’t get my mind off of Randi. Was she mad because I was dancing with her friends? Or is it because something happened to her and she doesn’t want to share it with me? I had so many questions in my head and I wasn’t sure what to do about the problem. The song ended and Angie went over to Tay. That’s when the party went down hill. Some one had brought loads of alcohol in and everyone went for some. We wouldn’t mind a little but that was too much. So everyone was drunk by the end of the night, except Tay and myself.

“Well this turned out nothing as I expected.” Tay looked around at the trashed place. The band left a while ago so at least that was cleaned up. Everyone was passed out all over the place. We didn’t let anyone leave who was to drunk to drive.

“Let’s just start cleaning up.” I said as I picked up cups and whatnot. Both of us cleaned to the best of our ability. In about an hour we had almost everything picker up and back to normal. I hadn’t seen Randi laying around anywhere so I went off to look for her. I got a little scared because I don’t know how badly off she was and with her not being in plan sight frightened me. I looked everywhere for her. She wasn’t in the clubhouse, nor was she outside around it. My heart began to race faster and faster. I looked frantically around for her. I thought something bad had happened to her. I ran back to the clubhouse and found Tay. “I can’t find her.” I grabbed his shoulders.

“Find who?” Tay tied up the garbage bag and set it next to the others.

“Randi!” My eyes were going to pop out of my head.

“She’s bound to be around here somewhere because I saw her like a half hour ago talking to some guy.” That’s when it struck me. I walked over to a room that had the door shut. I barged in and sure enough what I saw almost killed me.

“Randi.” The anger built inside of me.

“Zac?” She mumbled and looked at me with heavy eyes. She wasn’t too aware of her surrounding because she was asleep. “Zac.” She opened her eyes wide. “I can explain.” I just slammed the door as hard as I could and looked out to the room. It woke some people up and everyone was starring at me. Randi opened the door behind me and started to talk.

“Shut up. I don’t want to hear it.” I didn’t even look at her. I just stormed off. I wasn’t crying I was fuming mad. That was it. I ran as fast and as far as I could. I ran for what seemed like forever. I didn’t look back either. That picture could never be erased from my mind. My life was never to be the same.
