Part Eighteen

“Don’t even think it.” Tay always thinks there is something between Audg and me, but there isn’t. That’s Randi’s cousin and well that just would be right. We all got comfortable and popped in the movie. We didn’t feel like fast forwarding through the previews so we just let them roll.

“So are you two going out?” Audrey directed towards Tay.

“Well yeah.” He smiled and kissed Angie lightly on the cheek.

“Since when?” I didn’t even know that yet. I’m falling behind on what’s going on in my own brother’s life.

“Yesterday.” Angie grabbed Tay’s hand and giggled. I wish I could be like that with Randi again. I miss the time when we would just kiss each other for no reason, or hold hands walking down the strip, or just holding her period. She felt so right in my arms, yet now, I don’t know if it could ever be like that again. “It’s starting.” She turned off the lights and got the popcorn from the kitchen. We watched it in peace, well except when we were laughing our asses off. That movie is great!

“That was the funniest thing I’ve seen all week!” Tay had tears forming because he was laughing so hard.

“I gotta go pee!” Audrey jumped up and ran to the bathroom before she peed her pants. That just made us laugh harder.

“Feel better?” I joked with her as she returned.

“Oh yes.” She sat on my lap. “So what’s next? I’m ready to do something productive.”

“You are right now. Your making Zac horny.” Tay burst out laughing, as did Angie.

“Funny.” That was so not true. Audrey looked down at me just checking. “Excuse me?” It wasn’t true, I swear!

“Just checking.” They kept laughing. I was the only one not because everyone picking on me is not funny.

“Laugh it up.” I sarcastically stated as they laughed some more at my expense.

“Alright, enough picking on boner boy now.” I just rolled my eyes. “Let’s do something.” Audrey was trying to think of something fun to do.

“I know, let’s tickle Audrey!” I tickled her before she had a say. She fell over on the couch and I just kept going. I looked over at Tay who was smiling and then when I looked at him again his jaw was hanging open and his eyes were wide. Like something went wrong. “What?” I stopped and looked at him. He was looking out the window and then I saw why. Randi was looking at us. I jumped up and went out there too her.

“You could have told me you and Audrey we having some sort of relationship.” She didn’t take her eyes off the cement.

“We’re just friends and I was just tickling her, you know having fun.” I felt bad, when really I shouldn’t. She’s the one who cheated on me.

“Well I’ll let you get back to being friends then.” She started to leave. I grabbed her arm and spun her around.

“No.” I stated softly. She was looking into my eyes now. “What did you want, you didn’t just come over here for nothing.” She just stood there. “Come on, tell me.”

“Well I came over to talk to you.” She looked back at the ground. I lifted her chin up so I could see her eyes again. They had a glaze over them to make them shine beautifully.

“Then talk to me.” She took a deep breath.

“I was talking to Tay about everything today. His advice was to just tell you because you deserve to know. You do deserve to know the truth of everything. That night I was jealous. Michelle and Rachel were all over you and I wasn’t able to just show off the coolest boyfriend in the world. So I drank whatever was in sight. I didn’t want that feeling inside me. It just made me worse. I was horny, jealous, and lonely and then I saw Ike. I wasn’t thinking at all. I didn’t want to feel that way anymore, so I thought Isaac could help me. He wasn’t there either; he was just as trashed as I was. So I basically took advantage of him, in a drunken stupor sort of way. I ruined everything is such a short matter of time and I can’t live like this anymore. I love you so much.” She had tears streaming down her face. I wiped them away.

“It’s okay.” She looked back up at me. The moonlight was filling up our eyes. Just then a shooting star streaked through the sky. “I hope my wish comes true.”

“What’s your wish?” She looked up at me.

“You.” I leaned down and kissed her. That kiss was so powerful. I could tell my heart was racing and that her knees were getting weak. It was none other than perfect.

We broke away after a minute. She had tears in her eyes once again.

“Thank you.” She managed to squeak out. I pulled her in again. It felt so right. I felt the missing part of my heart fill in. I was whole once more. There we were in the middle of the sidewalk, the moonlight all around us, and a cool breeze blowing over. We just stood there, together, as one. I held her in my arms. I glanced over at our window to see Tay, Angie, and Audrey all staring at us in awe. I felt like we were a movie. The ending of the perfect movie. This wasn’t the end though. There were many more obstacles to over come. I would let time bring us those later and just let this moment live on forever.

The End
