Part One
“So
you really cheat and all that in school?”
“Zac,
I do, get over it. It is no big deal anymore.”
“Michelle?”
“What
Tay.”
“Do
you have a nickname that we could call you. Like something shorter?”
“Yeah
Mish. My old friend came up with it.”
“Okay,
Mish, I was wondering, since you came to live with us for a week, have you had
to change your lifestyle in any way?”
Well,
she really didn’t want to answer that but, she tried the best she could to
explain to them that if she was the way she usually is, than they might think
that she was a little on the weird side and not think that she was really acting
like a girl. She didn’t want to explain anything specific so she avoided that
part of the conversation. Since Zac was bored, he wanted to play some video
games. Mish challenged him in a racing game of Super Mario Cart for N64. She
ended up beating all of them more than once because she ruled at that game. She
learned from the best, which was her brother. So after that slaughter, Taylor
invited her to join him on a walk to the lake. She said sure and they went off.
Zac was of course making kissing noises while they were on the way off, but they
both ignored him.
Taylor
led her to a beautiful lake to watch the sunset. They sat there in the sand,
side by side, peacefully watching the sun slowly melt below the horizon.
Michelle didn’t know, but right then, Taylor wanted to kiss her so bad. He
didn’t though because he hasn’t known her that long and wasn’t sure If
that would be the right thing to do. So he contained him self and just sat in
there. The sunset and it was getting dark so they decided to head back home.
“That was so pretty. I really never just sat some where and watched the sun go
down.”
“Really?
I do it all the time. I love watching the sun set. It makes the sky look like a
big rainbow.”
“Well
let’s get home so your mom doesn’t get worried.” Both of them left and got
home before it was too late. Of course when they got home Zac was still playing
video games and challenged Mish to a rematch. She accepted and kicked his butt
yet again. Zac got frustrated and decided to go play with his action figures.
Taylor went and practiced playing his keyboard, so, Isaac decided to talk to
Mish. They ended up talking all night until it was 3 a.m. That night they became
closer to each other, they both found a new friend.
It was day four in the Hanson household and
the boys decided to take Mish to the water park, where they could all go
swimming and have a good time. They all got ready and Isaac drove them there.
When they got there everyone knew that it was Hanson, and ran up to get some
autographs. After a little bit everyone finally got swim finally. The water park
was really cool. There were five different water slides and three different
pools. There were diving boards, fountains, and a lot of fun water related
things to do. They spent the whole day there. While they were there Mish and Zac
hung out together most of the time. They dunked each other and raced down the
slides. They both loved the water and could live in it.
“Hey
Zac! I’ll race you to the showers and who ever is the fastest wins!”
“Okay,
ready go!” They raced through the showers and got ready as fast as they could.
“Those
two are pathetic.”
“Taylor,
they are just having fun.”
“I
know, but it is a little pathetic. They are racing through the showers. They are
just like two little kids.”
“I
know, let them be.” The other two went into the showers to wash up.
Michelle
and Zac were neck in neck and they both were running out of the showers and they
crashed into each other. The both fell on the ground laughing. It was really
funny. The other two came out and they went home for dinner. After dinner they
were exhausted. They fell asleep around 8 o’clock.
The next day none of them got up until
eleven at the earliest. When they did get up, there wasn’t a good vibe in the
air. “Good morning. We slept in late today.” Mish yawned.
“Oh
shut up, I have a headache.”
“Whoa
there Tay, I didn’t know.”
“He
just woke up on the wrong side of the bed.”
“You
shut up to Ike. I am not in the mood.”
“You
don’t have to yell at everyone, just go take some Midol or something.”
“I
don’t need some girl to tell me what to do.” That is what started it all.
There was a lot of tension in the room and all of them could feel it. Michelle
was not about to let him be an ass towards her because he was cranky.
“Excuse
me, I am not just some girl. I came her to have a fun time. So quit your
bitchin’ and lighten up.”
“I
don’t need your two cents.”
“Yes
you do because you’re making a complete ass out of yourself right now.”
“I
am not an ass and you can take you opinion and shove it up your own ass.”
Taylor, desperately trying to defend himself from Mish’s assault.
“Fuck
you. I don’t need to take this.”
“Fuck
your self bitch, it’s cheaper.” Taylor retorted
“That’s
it, I am leaving.” Mish blurted out without thinking.
“Yeah
right, you can’t even go anywhere, or even drive for that matter.”
“Watch
me.” It was too late for saying sorry. She took their mom’s car keys and her
headphones and drove to a park that she saw before. She didn’t have her
license but that didn’t stop her. When she got there she found a tree and
climbed up into it. She put her headphones and listened to her favorite song on
their Middle Of Nowhere CD, Yearbook. The guys were shocked.
“Um,
Taylor, I think we should go and find where she went. She doesn’t know how to
drive and well she is our guest.” Ike was slowly on the verge of ringing
Taylor’s neck.
“I
know, I know, something came over me and I was just in a bad mood. Let me go and
get her. I think I know where she went.”
“I
really think you did enough” Zac’s opinion rang out from the doorway behind
Ike.
But
Taylor was already walking out the door. He knew where she went because when
they were walking to the lake, he told her that was his favorite place to go and
be alone. He walked to the park. He got there and saw the car, but didn’t see
her. He tried looking in trees because she might of climbed up one. He looked up
in the millionth tree and finally saw her. She was just sitting way the hell up
there so he had to climb up there to talk to her. She didn’t even realize he
was climbing up because she had a tear rolling down her cheek and when he tapped
her she jumped and almost fell out of the tree. When she noticed it was him she
wiped her face and asked him what he wanted.
“Listen,
I am so sorry. Something came over me and I totally over-reacted and I am
really, really sorry. I didn’t mean to yell at you and swear at you.” He
almost started to cry while saying that, but he held it in and just gave her
this look that would melt anyone’s heart.
“I’m
sorry too. I get very defensive and I do swear a lot at people when they piss me
off.”
“I
guess we all have our bad days. Truce?”
