Part Fourteen

The next day the interview wasn’t until 4:30, after TRL, so Mish slept almost until then. Tay woke up around 12:00. He ventured his way into Mish’s room. He sat there next to her bed. He silently cried and was just thinking to himself. ‘What did I do to make you not want me. I love you so much and now that love has a tainted spot on it. I miss you and I want you back, but you don’t want me.’ He had to leave the room before he broke down. He went to the bus. Ike saw him and his face was all red. Ike knew something was up for sure. He didn’t want to bug Tay about it so he asked Dayna if she knew anything. “Hey Dayna, do you know what’s up between Tay and Mish? He just ran out of here and he was crying.” Ike was deeply concerned for his brother.

“No, I thought they were fine, but I guess something happened. I just went into her room and she was still sleeping so I didn’t wake her. They probably had a fight or something.” Dayna didn’t want to worry about it because she figured they could handle it for themselves. Zac got up to find Ike and Dayna. “Hey what’s up you two love birds?” Zac was quit chirpy this morning.

“Have you noticed Tay and Mish acting weird lately?” Ike wondered if Zac knew anything.

“Yeah, what’s up with them? I really didn’t pay too much attention but I noticed.”

“We are kind of afraid to ask, but we think they have it under control. So Dayna, what are you going to reveal on MTV today? Anything juicy?” Ike winked.

“You’ll just have to wait and see now won’t you?” She gave a devilish smile and went to get dressed and ready for the interview. It takes her forever so she starts early to be perfect. Mish finally woke up, it was 3:00. She decided she should take a shower and get ready for this thing. “Tay, are you in here?” No answer, she figured he went out so she just got ready. Her and Dayna had matching outfits but that were different colors. It was jean shorts with a snakeskin shirt that was backless. It was really cute. The shirt wasn’t real snakeskin of course but it looked like it. She was ready and got out to the bus. She went in and saw Taylor on the bed staring at the ceiling.

“There you are. Where is everyone else, we have to go?” She didn’t seem too sad, that’s good.

“I don’t know. They are probably coming though.” He didn’t even look at her.

“Tay, are you mad at me? I really want you to understand that I am doing this for my own being. I love you still, you do see that don’t you?”

“Yeah I do, but I don’t know where we went wrong. I mean everything was great until that damn guy. I love you too and since you love me why can’t we be together?” He was depressed about this subject.

“I am doing this so I know that I am still me and so I can live a little. I just need to explore some things about myself. It’s not like I am saying that I will never see you again. I am saying I will see you when the time is right and now is just not that time.” She tried to explain but the others were coming so they just dropped the whole thing and went to the studios. Mish and Dayna were going to appear at the end of TRL and then go straight to the interview. When they got to the studios there were so many security people, it was insane. They got up there and were able to introduce number 2 and number 1. Then they signed some autographs and got ready for the interview. The guys were in the audience and were going to watch this. Everything was about to be unfolded on national TV. 

“Welcome back to TRL, with us now is Michelle Klaus and Dayna Brock from the huge boy band sensation Hanson. How are you two today?”

“Great, we just finished the tour with the guys and we are ready for a little break now.”

“Yes, so does that mean you and Isaac will be tying the knot?” Gotta love Carson’s attempt at interviews.

“We probably will have the wedding in a few months, there are still a lot of other things that need to be done first.” Dayna didn’t want to give everything away.

“Michelle, how are things going between you and Taylor?” Carson probably asked this question too soon.

“Well I have that part saved for the interview next so you’ll hear all about that later.” She didn’t even give a hint that they had separated. TRL was over and so they got ready for the interview.

“Mish, are you sure you want to let this go on national TV?” Taylor had pulled her aside.

“We can’t pretend we are together when I am with Jim, so I have too. This will be too hard to hide from everybody, I’m sorry.” She got up on stage just in time for it to start. The rest of the guys sat in the audience to watch.

“Welcome to 60 Questions on MTV. We are here with the famous Michelle and Dayna, the ones who are involved with the Hanson episode. Welcome, so first things first, how was the tour?” Ananda was the one doing the interview, again.

“Well I would say it was a huge success. I enjoyed it and I got a chance to do all these things I always dreamed of doing. I even got to take my best friend and make her part of it. I know we all had a lot of fun and the fans loved it too.” Mish got off to a good start.

“You were the one that started out by winning a contest and then it turned into this. Somebody had wrote to me and wanted to know what you did before you got to be with Hanson?” An odd but understandable question.

“Well I was an odd person –“

“You mean retarded!” Dayna added jokingly.

 “And I still am. I was overly obsessed with Hanson and I couldn’t get enough of them. I remember I would spend the night over Dayna’s and we would watch the Hanson video. Being the retarded person I am, I would pause the video at a certain point, which I called a make-out moment, and then I would kiss the TV. It was so funny. I think I was really messed up that night because I was going crazy. It was so funny though.” Dayna then cut Mish off, again.

“She would, I mean this girl had, and still has, some problems. She got my TV all gross. If you had been there you would have pissed your pants because it was so funny. My mom always thought she was on drugs because she was always hyper after 3 hours of sleep. Mish’s response would be I am just high on life. It was so hilarious.” Everyone was laughing then. On one of the TV’s in the studio they put up a picture and Michelle got up and demonstrated what she would do. It was the funniest thing in the world. Everyone died laughing. The interview was an hour and a half long. The first hour was mostly like that. Then the details had to come in.

“We are back and now we have the important things to talk about. While you were on TRL Michelle you said you had something saved for this show about you and Taylor, so would you like to tell us now?” The camera shot at Taylor and he just sat there with a straight face.

“Well I guess there is no turning back now. Well Taylor and I have broken up. We are just friends for now and I am currently going out with someone else.” The audience was shocked and so were Ike, Zac, Audrey, and Dayna. Dayna thought that every mouth in the country hit the ground at that moment.

“Really, when did this happen, if you want to tell us?” Ananda was even shocked.

“Well just a few days ago, it is for the best for now. The future will tell us if there is still hope.” She tried to stay serious. Tay still was just sitting there.

“Well, okay. I don’t know what to follow that with.” Ananda was shocked. “Umm, Dayna do you want to tell us what is going on with you and Ike?”

“Sure, Ike and I are getting married in February. The 14^th or the 25^th.”

The two best friends got up and left the stage, leaving Ananda by herself to talk to the crowd. They met everybody out in the hall. Taylor had already left for the bus.

After the interview they made their way back to the bus. From what it looked like the fans were disappointed that the two weren’t going out anymore. Mish walked to the bus holding hands with Dayna because she was really feeling like crap at the moment, and needed Dayna’s support. They got on the bus and it was a silent ride home, well for the most part. They turned the radio on because it was too quiet. Of course Britney Spears was on and that was Taylor and Mish’s song. Mish looked at Taylor and then went into the back so she could listen to it by herself. Ike was going to turn it off but Tay wouldn’t let him. Dayna gave him a hug and Tay just laid his head on her shoulder.

“I love you Mish.” He mumbled very softly. Dayna felt so bad for him, she had to talk to Mish about this. She got up and went into the back where Mish was on the phone with Jim.

“Can I call you back, Dayna needs to talk to me. Okay, love ya too, bye.” Mish hung up.

“So you broke up with Tay to go out with Jim, the guy you met at the concert. I don’t get it.” Dayna was kinda mad at her for doing this; she couldn’t believe Mish was being this asinine.

“Well, I wasn’t going to cheat on him so I broke up with him. I just wanted someone else, it’s not like I hate Tay.” Mish was being overly defensive.

“You two were so perfect together, come on Mish, you crushed him. He needs you a lot, and whether you like to admit it or not you need him too! It is not fair to him…” Hell broke loose.

“I am sorry, but I am a person too. I can go out with who ever the fuck I want. I love Taylor yes but sometimes he is just not what I want. I can like other people. I want to be with Jim right now and so if you don’t respect that than you can get the hell away from me. Plus just because you want me to go out with him doesn’t mean I have too. This is my life, not yours!!!” Mish was yelling.

“Michelle.” Cut of again. Mish went out of the room.

“Dammit, I am not done yelling at your sorry ass! Get the hell back in here.” Dayna wasn’t gonna give up this easy and Mish knew it.

“I don’t have to listen to y-“

“The hell you don’t!” Dayna grabbed Mish’s shoulder and with unreasonable force she knocked her into the wall. She pinned her in the corner so Mish would have to listen to what she was going to say. “I have watched you fuck up your life a million times before and I didn’t say a damn thing. Now bitch, you’re going to listen to me! For once in your life you have something I wish I could have found at your age. You have found the perfect someone who wants to be with you, for who you are. He loves you and your dumbass; you know that you love him too. You’ve told me a million times how happy you are that you have finally got him. What the hell changed? A guy you met at a concert. Oh my god a good-looking guy that you met for 5 minutes then all of a sudden you’re in love with him! Bullshit. You’re just running from what you really feel for someone. Dammit I know cause I did it to Ike. If I fucking fell for every god damned good looking guy I would have never found Ike. Why the hell do you want to fuck up your life like this? What the hell is your fucking problem?” She paused either to catch her breath because she was screaming at the top of her lungs, or to let Mish answer. The guys were stunned that Dayna had such a temper. But they were about to be more stunned the screaming continued, but this time it was Mish.

“Dammit your not my fucking my mother, I don’t have to listen to your bitching because I don’t listen to hers either!”

“Shut the mother fucking hell up bitch I didn’t say you could speak yet!” Mish slapped Dayna across the face and started to get out of the bus. The guy’s mouths hit the floor. “Taylor, I am so sorry for breaking your heart, but you know what, I like Jim too so unless you wanted me to cheat on your sorry ass than just let me be. I love you, okay just don’t be a jerk about it.” Mish went off the bus and left. What she didn’t know is that Dayna had followed her off.

Dayna grabbed Mish’s shoulder, spun her around, and decked her in the face. The guys had run out of the bus when they heard Mish scream. The two were now beating the shit out of each other. The guys tried to separate them but Mish kicked Ike in the nuts, which sent him to the ground. Tay got backhanded in the face because Mish wasn’t about to let Dayna win this fight. Dayna kicked Zac in the stomach, which was originally meant for Mish, but she missed. Since Mish was stronger she had her on the ground. Dayna was pulling her head to the ground and Mish was punching her in the head. Audrey got off the bus and saw this. She shit a brick. She took Mish by the hair and ripped her off Dayna. Dayna got up and tried to get Mish but Audrey closed lined her and she fell to the ground. The two tried to get back at each other but the guys had them contained. There was a huge crowd of people around them so Mish got out of the guys grip and walked away. The crowd spilt because they weren’t about to get an ass whopping.
